TAN-TAN

The "Classics" collection lists all the essential Moroccan zellige motifs. Deeply rooted in the Moroccan architectural heritage, these motifs are revisited by Aït Manos to build spaces that nod to Moroccan tradition without neglecting a contemporary character. Thus, sometimes used in their original version, sometimes twisted in monochrome.

TAN-TAN is a pre-assembled, hand-glazed mosaic sheet. It can be easily installed on floors and walls, indoors and outdoors. The representation of human beings was often forbidden in Islamic art. This explains the development of this decorative art governed by geometry. TAN-TAN is a geometric figure based on squares, drawn according to a rigorous mathematical scheme. Thanks to the complementarity of sizes, the Zellige pieces intertwine and repeat themselves endlessly.
