Are you passionate about Moroccan craftsmanship? Are you dreaming of changing your old, outdated zellige? Look no further: we invite you to discover this ideal brand to unearth innovative and contemporary models that will look great in your cozy nest. It's Maison Aït Manos, a true artisan creator of zellige, who revisits this Moroccan artisanal heritage at will. Between the ingenuity of its chromatic laboratory and the dexterity of its Maâlems, new variations of the typical zellige are regularly emerging. Combining know-how and creativity, the range has just expanded with magnificent metallic shades, in tune with the times, adorning the zellige with gold and platinum. This exclusive encounter with goldsmithing, mixing a retro touch with a particularly sunny effect, gives life to a festive, magical, and powerful line. A true ode to elegance by Aït Manos. Thanks to precise firing processes, the fragments of mosaic made entirely by hand are thus sublimated with a golden or silver light. Indeed, to reveal all the sparkle of these new exclusive enamels, the House carries out a real goldsmith's work: after receiving the rare metals in the form of pigments, the terracotta fragments are kiln-fired for an initial firing at around 980°. Then, they are put back in the kiln after enameling. Finally, a third firing specific to the metallic enamels is completed. The result: delicate and luminous, these 18k Gold and Platinum zelliges have been imagined as the ultimate ornaments intended for interior and exterior surfaces, swimming pools, showers, basins (available to order). And how can you not succumb to the new "Zellitable" collection, at once functional, original and colorful. In an art-deco style, a gilded and patinated metal base delicately rests on a Zellige top made entirely by hand. A unique table with a charismatic and subtly Moroccan decorative aura.
But who is behind this explosion of creativity and artistic audacity? We can fully congratulate this couple, passionate about Moroccan crafts: Ghalia Sebti and Tawfik Bennani. This cosmopolitan duo with a resolutely artistic soul drew its inspiration from a cultural melting pot. The son of diplomats, half-Austrian, half-Moroccan, Tawfik lived abroad for a long time while maintaining a deep attachment to the Kingdom and its traditional decorative arts. As for the French-Moroccan Ghalia, raised in the purest Fassi tradition, she has always had a passion for craftsmanship. This fusion naturally led to the creation in 1995 of Maison Aït Manos, an allegory of their love for zellige. Thus, for nearly 25 years, the couple has distinguished themselves through their perfect mastery of a centuries-old zellige originating in Morocco in the 10th century. Constantly effervescent and always on the lookout for contemporary trends, the founders adapt and enhance it by modernizing it without ever distorting its ancestral manufacturing process. In their workshops, around the greatest master zelliger craftsmen, artists and designers, these are unique creations that come to life and then fly around the world to adorn the most luxurious interiors. This is the ultimate recognition: famous architects and interior designers swear by the authentic and unique zelliges signed Aït Manos for their beautiful projects. So much so that the House has finally obtained the National Label of Craftsmanship of Morocco developed by the Ministry of Crafts and Social and Solidarity Economy. Bravo!
