Are you passionate about Moroccan craftsmanship? Do you dream of changing your old-fashioned zellige? Look no further: we invite you to discover this ideal brand for innovative, contemporary designs that will look great in your cosy nest. Maison Aït Manos is a genuine artisan zellige creator, revisiting this Moroccan craft heritage to perfection. Between the ingenuity of its color laboratory and the dexterity of its Maâlems, new variations of the typical zellige are regularly created. Combining expertise and creativity, the range has just been extended to include magnificent, fashionable metallic shades, adorning zellige with gold and platinum. This exclusive encounter with goldsmithing, combining a retro touch with a particularly sunny effect, gives life to a festive, fairy-tale and powerful line. A true ode to elegance by Aït Manos. Thanks to precise firing processes, the fragments of entirely hand-crafted mosaic are sublimated by a golden or silver coat of light. Indeed, to reveal all the sparkle of these exclusive new enamels, the Maison performs real goldsmith's work: after receiving the rare metals in pigment form, the terracotta fragments are fired in a first kiln at around 980°. After enameling, they are fired again. Finally, a third firing is carried out specifically for metallic enamels. The result: delicate and luminous, these Gold 18k and Platinum zelliges have been imagined as the ultimate ornaments for indoor and outdoor surfaces, pools, showers, ponds (available to order). And it's hard not to fall in love with the new "Zellitable" collection, which is functional, original and colorful. In art-deco style, a gilded, patinated metal base delicately rests on a hand-crafted Zellige tabletop. A unique table with a charismatic, subtly Moroccan decorative aura.
But who is behind this explosion of creativity and artistic daring? A couple with a passion for Moroccan craftsmanship: Ghalia Sebti and Tawfik Bennani. This cosmopolitan duo with a resolutely artistic soul has drawn its inspiration from a cultural melting pot. The half-Austrian, half-Moroccan son of diplomats, Tawfik has lived abroad for many years, but has a deep attachment to the Kingdom and its traditional decorative arts. As for French-Moroccan Ghalia, raised in the purest Fassi tradition, she has always had a passion for craftsmanship. The result of this fusion was the creation in 1995 of Maison Aït Manos, an allegory of their love for zellige. And so, for almost 25 years, the couple have distinguished themselves through their perfect mastery of the age-old zellige that originated in Morocco in the 10th century. Always on the lookout for contemporary trends, the founders are constantly refining and sublimating the material, modernizing it without ever betraying its ancestral manufacturing process. In their workshops, working with the finest zelliger master craftsmen, artists and designers, original creations are brought to life and then sent around the world to adorn the most luxurious interiors. This is the ultimate accolade: famous architects and interior designers swear by Aït Manos' authentic, singular zelliges for their beautiful projects. So much so, in fact, that Aït Manos has been awarded the Label National de l'Artisanat du Maroc (Moroccan National Craftsmanship Label) developed by the Ministry of Crafts and the Social and Solidarity Economy. Congratulations!
